Ask about the source. Understand the record.

Origin and documentation belong in the specification discussion—not as an afterthought.

INFORMED PROCUREMENT

Make your requirements explicit.

Tell us which origin, traceability, certification or inspection records your procurement process requires. The documents available for a proposed order should be confirmed before commercial agreement.

A general enquiry does not establish that a particular consignment meets a certification scheme or destination-market requirement. Ask for the records relevant to the material being quoted.

YOUR DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Be specific about
what you need.

  • Species identification and source information
  • Origin and traceability records
  • Export and phytosanitary documents, where required
  • Certification evidence required by your procurement policy
  • Inspection, grading or treatment records

This is a checklist for discussion, not a statement that every document is available for every order.
